Spot the Signs of Autism Early

Here are some warning signals of autism, if you feel your child may have any of these signs and are concerned please feel free to contact our office 808-244-7467, or download a referral form to fax, mail, or drop off to our office. Mahalo!

Warning Signals Include –

By 2 to 3 months:
Your baby isn’t making frequent eye contact.

By 3 months:
Your baby isn’t smiling at you.

By 6 months:
Your baby doesn’t laugh.

By around 8 months:
Your baby isn’t following your gaze when you look away from him/her.

By 9 months:
Your baby hasn’t begun to babble.

By 1 year:
Your baby isn’t consistently turning to you when you call his/her name.
Your baby hasn’t begun to wave bye-bye.

By 12 to 14 months:
Your baby hasn’t said a single word.

By 14 months:
Your baby isn’t pointing to show interest.

By 18 months:
Your baby doesn’t play “pretend.”
