Teaching Children with Autism and Other Developmental Disabilities 
As a precursor to our 3rd Annual Early Childhood Development Conference Imua Family Services along with MCH LEND Maui Academy, UH Maui College and Maui District Special Education are going to offer a Four Part Workshop Series entitled Teaching Children with Autism and Other Developmental Disabilities. The workshops created by DeAnne D. Salzer M.S., CCC-SLP, BCaBA will take place from 3-5:30, Part One Monday August 12, Part Two Wednesday August 14, Part Three Monday August 19 and Part Four Wednesday August 21.

American Sign Language Classes FREE!
Interested in learning Sign Language simply to have as a second language or to communicate with persons or families who use ASL to communicate. Imua Family Services with the help of Pomaika’i Elementary School present ASL classes starting Thursday, September 13th.

Classes are offered to parents and students of Pomaika’i Elementary School, parents and children of Imua Family Services, Camp Imua volunteers, and members of our community.

  • 1st & 3rd Thursdays – ASL taught by Lisa and Sung
  • 2nd Thursday – Parent Support Group by Jessica Brazil
  • 4th Thursday – Language & Activities by Ashley Jung
